Instagram have just announced via their blog that photo pages on your mobile device (viewed through your mobile web browser) have been given an upgrade to match closer the look and feel of the desktop web experience.
For some time, in addition to the application – users have been able to comment and like photos from the web interface Instagram offers. Users have also been able to like photos through the numerous 3rd party applications and tools available.
We speculate Instagram will soon release a mobile website that can be used on any HTML5 compatible device – further broadening the audience to Blackberry and Nokia users which don’t have their own native applications.
We previously reported that it looks like Microsoft may release an Instagram application for Windows Phone 8 by the end of the year.
