Instagram’s Report Inappropriate Photo Button

One of our readers tipped us off on an interesting flaw and vulnerability inside Instagram’s Popular Page.

Since Instagram’s recent updates the ‘Popular Page’ is now known as the Explore Page.

It seems if your photos makes it to the popular page and then 15 people report the photo as inappropriate it will be instantly removed from the popular page.

I have seen some popular accounts complaining that some users are now taking advantage of this flaw, and incorrectly reporting photos.

No doubt the team at Instagram and Facebook have acknowledged this issue internally and it will be interesting to see if they have any official comment on this or plans to rectify Report Button abuse.

    I am having the same problem. I have now 129k followers and this happened just yesterday. I posted a photo and made it to the popular page within 10 minutes, I got about 4,000 likes in 30 minutes then it was removed. I posted a photo again today and same thing happened. I don’t know who is doing it but it is getting frustrating. I emailed instagram about it but I don’t know if they are doing something about this issue.
